Sex abuse

Are we going to see an end to sexual abuse of children by the clergy? Is the Catholic Church going to do anything about it? I am sick and tired of pathetic apologies and insincere efforts of the powers that be to do anything about it. If they aren't willing to do anything about it, it's time for regular people, whether they be believers or non, to make a stand and start to bring down this terror. If we knew of a neighbor that was abusing children, we wouldn't think twice about intervening. What makes this any different? If anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear them.

Genesis

Did anyone ever notice this?  I started reading Genesis.  In just the first few verses, I suddenly realized something.  First, I must state something that I think is quite obvious and accepted by most rational people.  The world is an oblong spheroid.  If light was created on day one of creation, then there must be an "anti-bible" on the other side of the world which states that god created darkness on the first day of creation.  How can there be light all over the planet at the same time?  Further more, light was created BEFORE the sun and the moon were created.  WTF!  That makes no sense at all.  

I guess I'm off to a good start.  I've already found complete insanity in just the first few verses of this book which some believe is the inerrant word of god.   Bulls*%it!  Imagine how high the pile of bullshit will be by the time I get to Revelation!  I can hardly wait.

operation bible

Hello.  I'm Petros.  This is my first blog so please forgive me if I start out a bit rusty. I finally came around to starting a blog.  I guess what was preventing me from starting was that I just didn't know what to blog about.  I asked my friends and they all gave me the same answer which was to write about what is on your mind and what interests you.

Ok, see here it goes.  

I want to talk about the bible as my first entry.  I thought that I'd read a single chapter from the book and talk about it and see if anyone has anything they want to say or discuss what I've written.

So, I guess I'l start with Genesis and see where that takes me.  I promise I won't find Jesus or be born again.
